My blog used to be called “The Blog of Becky.”

It took me about 15 seconds to come up with the title back in 2006, and I was amazed it was still available.  It was perfect – short, straight, to the point, easy to spell and easy to memorize.

“I write a blog.”
“Neat, Becky!  What’s it called?”
“The Blog of Becky.”

See?  It was perfect.

It’s just…. one of these days I’m hoping to publish a book.  When I do, people are going to be searching for “Becky Bean”, so I thought I’d make it easier for my name to show up in the rankings.

I mean, in a perfect world I could have just nabbed the BeckyBean.com URL, but some lady over in Australia has been sitting on that for forever, so I had to make do with Becky Bean Writes.

I figured it would get the point across if anyone was actually trying to find me as an author (hey, a girl can dream, right?)

So, now you know.  This is the same old Blog of Becky… just fancier sounding.
